VaultSec Desktop · Windows 10/11 x64
The private desktop, clearly explained.
Encrypted messaging, invitation-first communities, private Talk, screen sharing and controlled automation in one Windows application. Everything important — features, limits, prices, security boundaries and the Discord comparison — is on this page.
The live product
Private communication without hiding the controls.
VaultSec Desktop keeps messages, communities, calls, files, automation and administration in one client. Status labels below distinguish what is live, beta, client-ready or planned.
Is this private by default?
The client requires encryption before a message can be sent.
Complete feature scope
Grouped by the job, labelled by its real status.
A feature card states what it does, whether it is available today and the boundary users should know before relying on it.
Encrypted conversations
Direct rooms, community channels, replies, reactions, read state and deliberately retained local history.
The client requires an encrypted room before it sends message content.Protected attachments
Images, voice notes, documents, archives and executable file types can be transferred without automatic execution.
RAR, ZIP, PY and EXE files remain a user-controlled download; VaultSec never opens them automatically.Channels, categories and roles
Invitation-gated communities with sortable categories, text and Talk channels, role permissions and private administration areas.
The free plan supports up to 5 owned communities.Role-protected community management
Sensitive community controls stay behind verified elevated roles, MFA and single-use launch links.
Elevated permission is rechecked whenever the protected management area opens.Voice, video and screen sharing
Private Talk rooms, camera, relay-only screen sharing and explicit microphone, display and quality controls.
Media security is documented separately from Matrix message encryption.Windows system audio
A guided Windows 10/11 flow captures device audio while avoiding the selected Talk output device to prevent duplicate voices.
Available devices and reliable voice exclusion depend on the Windows audio layout.Bot Forge
Ready templates and bounded custom rules for approved triggers and actions; descriptions are never executed as code.
Bot slots depend on plan and community level.Private Ticket Desk
Support and purchase forms create private ticket channels, admin chat and ticket logs with creator-specific visibility.
Ticket categories and staff access are created from verified roles.Scoped webhooks
Discord-style endpoints with one-time credentials, channel scope, rotation and immediate revocation.
External relays do not receive room keys or decrypted history.Profiles, presence and devices
Shared identity, profile media, status, device approval and account security controls across private spaces.
A compromised participant device can expose what that participant can see.Signed update flow
The updater verifies the fixed-purpose release manifest, shows visible progress and restarts into the confirmed build.
Only the expected VaultSec release path is accepted.Vanity joining
Community-controlled addresses open the installed app without revealing community details on the public page.
A link never replaces permission, sign-in or membership approval.Availability · reviewed 28 August 2026
Live beta does not mean every surface is finished.
The signed Windows client and protected account flow are available to invited testers. Public registration remains gated by security, abuse and capacity checks.
The public free-beta date is a target, not a promise. It moves if security, rollback, reporting or load gates are not ready.
Quick answers
Important details without another page.
Can I use VaultSec Desktop for free?
Yes. The core Desktop plan is €0. During the current private beta an invitation is still required.
Does the server see my message content?
Supported Matrix rooms require encryption before sending. The service still processes required routing, membership and timing metadata.
Can I send archives or executable files?
Yes, including formats such as RAR, ZIP, PY and EXE. They are never opened automatically; the recipient explicitly chooses where to save them.
Are Discord voice calls encrypted?
Discord states that voice, video and Go Live are end-to-end encrypted by default as of March 2026, with Stage channels as the stated exception. The comparison above reflects that current official claim.

The public page never asks for a VaultSec password. Sign-in, MFA and private download codes belong only on the protected VaultSec surface.
